2025–2029

Science communicator, writer, and researcher based in Zacatecas, Mexico. I started my PCST practical work in 1995 as a volunteer, developing science recreation workshops. Since 2001, I have been creating innovative public engagement programs at the Science Museum of the Autonomous University of Zacatecas.

I was the founding President of ´Recreación en Cadena´, the Mexican Network of Recreative Science (2017-2021). Currently, I serve as Executive Director of RedPOP, the Latin American Network for the Popularization of Science and Technology. I am also a member of the editorial boards of Science Communication and the Journal of Science Communication América Latina. In addition, I coordinated last year’s PCST Symposium organizing committee in Zacatecas, Mexico.

With three decades of experience across Latin America, I can bring my understanding of science communication in diverse cultural and institutional contexts, and I am committed to advancing dialogue, equity, and participation in our field.
