The next PCST conference is scheduled to take place in Aberdeen, Scotland, in May 2025. This event will bring together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers from around the world to discuss the latest developments in science communication.
Following Aberdeen, the PCST 2027 conference will be held in Shanghai, China. At the 2023 PCST conference in Rotterdam, Shanghai successfully won the bid to host the 2027 gathering. The Shanghai conference is expected to offer a unique platform for engaging with the Asian science communication community and exploring regional perspectives on global challenges.
Looking further ahead, the process to bid for hosting the PCST 2029 conference will begin in August 2024. Interested cities will have until 29 April 2025 to submit their bids through the usual PCST channels, including the official website, Facebook page, and discussion list.
In addition to its biennial conferences, the PCST network has been expanding its range of activities to include more frequent symposiums. These events, typically held in non-conference years, offer focused discussions on specific themes within science communication. PCST may approve multiple symposiums in a single year, reflecting growing interest and participation in these gatherings.
For those interested in the evolving landscape of science communication, the PCST network continues to offer rich opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and global collaboration.
