Dr Alexandra Borissova Saleh is a science communicator, strategist, and NGO leader with 18 years of experience in academia, media, and public engagement. She began her career as a reporter and editor in major Russian media, later leading communication offices at top research institutions. She co-founded and directed AKSON, the Russian Association of Science Communication, and launched pioneering projects in citizen science, professional development, and science policy advocacy. Alexandra has managed large-scale events and training programs across Europe and beyond. A former German Chancellor Fellow (Humboldt Foundation), she has authored several books, chapters and academic papers. She served on the PCST Scientific Committee as Treasurer in 2021-2025 and a founding Executive Secretary of the PCST Award.

Fluent in three languages and based in Italy, she is passionate about bridging the gap between science and society through communication strategies. She works internationally as a consultant in science communication, marketing and policy-making.
