Mohamed Daoud is an Egyptian science communicator and public engager with over a decade of experiences in the field. He is considered one of the pioneers in the field in Egypt and the MENA area. He holds a master’s degree in science communication from the University of Manchester. He is currently managing two EU Horizon 2020 funded projects about environmental justice. He previously managed numerous community-led and citizen science projects to break the wall between science and society in Egypt. His work has been recognised to be one of the winners of Falling Walls Engage Breakthrough of the Year 2020 and the winner of Study UK Alumni Social Action Award 2022. Mohamed is passionate about bridging the gap between research and practice, promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, and empowering marginalised communities particularly in the Global South.
