PCST Venice Symposium

28-30 September 2023, Venice International University, Venice

Science Communication Education and Training: Challenges and Strategies for Research and Academic Institutions

The PCST Venice Symposium addressed current challenges that academic and research institutions face with respect to public communication and public engagement.

Hosted by Venice International University (VIU), a leading international network of universities, the PCST Venice Symposium put together, on the one hand, the expectations and needs of academic institutions in the area of science communication, and on the other hand, the theoretical and empirical knowledge of the PCST community along with practical experience.

The PCST Venice Symposium was thematic and regional in its scope, in line with PCST Symposia, but contributions from all over the world were welcomed.

The Symposium emphasised interactivity. Presentation formats included plenary sessions sparked by invited conversations, roundtables, working sessions for sharing and discussing practices and experiences among institutions.
