Webinar: Speaking at PCST? A workshop on how to engage your audience

Webinar date: 14 March 2023

If you are preparing a talk and thinking about ways you can connect with your audience, then this webinar may be useful to watch. Bear in mind that this webinar was held specifically for prospective PCST2023 speakers to learn two major techniques for including the audience in their presentations.

Speakers

Frans van Dam, from Utrecht University (Netherlands) shared strategies and tips for using interactive polling during a conference talk.

Marlit Hayslett of Hayslett Consulting (United States) introduced several methods for maintaining audience engagement, inviting the audience into your talk, and exciting them about your topic.

Given that audiences decide in less than a minute whether they will actively listen to a speaker, having these tools to re-engage them through the talk will ensure you keep their attention.
